Who we are

TELECOMMUNICATIONS FOR SPACE AND AERONAUTICS LAB

The TeSA Cooperative Laboratory (Telecommunications for Space and Aeronautics Lab) was created in 1999, founded by a group of academic laboratories of engineering schools and by CNES, Alcatel Space, Rockwell Collins France and the Technical Department of the Air Navigation, with the support of the Regional Council and FEDER funding.

Five years of very productive collaboration in this laboratory have created a spirit of multidisciplinary research covering all segments of telecommunications, networking and navigation systems, with constant interaction between public, private and academic sectors.

This led the original partners of TeSA to decide to create an independent legal personality as a nonprofit organization, which became effective in November 2004 and aims at performing research studies in Telecommunications for Space and Aeronautics.

TeSA Association brings together academic partners INPT, ISAE-Supaero, ENAC and IMT Atlantique as well as founder partner members: CNES, Thales Alenia Space and Collins Aerospace. In addition to these founders, a new member, the start-up SpaceAble is part of TeSA since 2019.
