The final event of COST272 will be organised on the 26th of August 2005. It consists in a panel day organised in conjunction with the SatNEx Summer School (information will be provided on this web page).

The theme of this panel day is "The many good ways to pave the IP road in the sky". Three speakers from the Industry will present their view and experience about the provision of IP content over satellite.

The topics addressed are:

• IP multicast over satellite (Dr Harald Skinnemoen from Nera)
• Bringing an IP router on board a low earth orbit satellite (Dr Lloyd Wood from Cisco Systems)
• The TWISTER integrated project: IP over satellite from a wireless terrestrial access (A representative from EADS Astrium)

A first programme is available (PDF).

This panel day will be the perfect opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with key representatives from the Industry. It is an adequate addition to the four days of academic tutorials organised in the frame of the summer school.
